jiaqing seal mark in underglaze blue and of the period
With deep sides flaring towards a slightly everted rim, the exterior decorated with two dragons striding through flames in pursuit of flaming pearls above a ruyi band, with a band of undulating foliate scroll above and a shou character medallion in the interior, all in green on a lemon-yellow ground

Lot Essay

In pattern, shape and size this bowl appears to be a continuation of a type made during the Qianlong reign, such as the Qianlong-marked bowl in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, included in the Special Exhibition of K'ang-Hsi, Yung-Cheng and Ch'ien Lung Porcelain Ware from the Ch'ing Dynasty, 1986, Catalogue, no. 77
