The cylindrical box and cover set on three supports carved in the form of monkeys and fitted with a cover carved in high relief with peach branches, the knop in the form of a monkey and her young with further peaches, the sides of the box carved with monkeys gathering persimmons, inlaid on the underside with a mother-of-pearl leaf and incised stalk, unsigned, some slight chips and cracks, restoration- 8 3/4 in. (22.3 cm.) high
