A CARVED CELADON SCRAP BOWL
KORYO DYNASTY (12TH CENTURY)

The globular drum-shaped body with sharply flaring mouth, deeply carved with a design of a scrolling and flowering chrysanthemum, the flaring mouth decorated with a band of scrolling flowering peony, the whole covered with a thick, rich celadon glaze, some burial discoloration to one side and damage restored - 3 x 7in. (7.5 x 18cm.)
