AN INLAID CELADON VASE
KORYO DYNASTY (13TH/14TH CENTURY)

The large bottle form vase with slightly hexagonal neck incised in white and black slip with four large peony medallions within rui borders above a band of stylized leaves at the foot, encircled at the midsection by inlaid white slip linked rings from which suspend ring and tassel pendants, the collar and base of the neck inlaid with further overlapping leaves, covered overall in a pale celadon and finely crackled glaze, extensive body crack, neck restored- 11 3/4 in. (29.8 cm.) high
