A RARE RETICULATED INLAID CELADON PILLOW
KORYO DYNASTY (12TH CENTURY)

The minature openwork pillow with the top and under surfaces decorated in inlaid black and white slip with a central roundel containing two flying cranes within a pair of parallel lines within a pierced black outlined rectangle, the borders inlaid with a chain diaper in white slip, beneath a rich, crackled and bubble-suffused celadon glaze - 3 5/8 x 5in. (9 x 12.5cm.), kiln defects and restorations
