Lot Essay

Professor Bergström (op. cit., p. 286) writes: 'One of van Streek's best still-life paintings was formerly owned by Mr. T. Laurin, Stockholm. It has a calm and balanced which is reminiscent of Kalf, but the total impression is, nevertheless, utterly different.'
