34 vols., vols. 1-19 in 8vo, 240 x 150 mm., vols. 20-34 in 4to, 310 x 245 mm., uniformly bound in contemporary Dutch light tan half calf, spines gilt and with green morocco lettering labels and red morocco nuumeral labels, both gilt, minor wear only to earlier volumes, lower inner joint of vol. 24 broken, some pigment lost from adhesion to plate 1320 in vol. 17, plates 1763 and 1764 spring from vol. 23 with their text. In fine condition.

2240 plates in chronological order (plates 1864/5 one one plate) many folding or double-page, by many artists (see Nissen), engraved and hand-colored through vol. 11, lithographed and hand-colored, and chromolithographed, vols. 1-11 with engraved title-pages, vol. 1 title hand-colored.

This comprehensive flora of the Netherlands is comparable in span of publication with the Flora Danica.
