SWEERTS, EMANUEL. 2 parts in one, folio, 399 x 267 mm., contemporary vellum, remains of silk ties, covers stained, first title and portrait leaves with lower margins renewed, upper margin of plate 64 renewed, small hole in C2 and C3; the second part printed on poorer stock which has become softened and browned with the title frayed and repaired at edge and plates 8 and 41 with marginal losses, plate 42 creased, D2 with upper margin renewed and eight letters supplied, some minor tears in gutters, some fingersoiling throughout the volume and an old stain at front.

Kempner in 1612), HAND-COLORED. 2 engraved title-pages, 2 portraits of Sweerts and 110 plates of flowers (67, 43) containing over 550 subjects, all handcolored; 12 text leaves in first part, printed title and 4 text leaves in second part, text in Latin, Dutch, German and French.
