The oval base finely painted with mythological scenes with ground of leafy scrolls between, the camel and his attendant on silver plinth incorporating pierced frieze of scrolls, monsters and masks, the tambour case above the camel with similarly enamelled back, glazed bezel, champlevé enamelled dial with roman chapters, fitted with quarter repeating verge watch movement (in disrepair), the repeating activated by depressing finial in the form of a satyr, c. 1880--9¾in. (25cm.) high
