With moulded skirt to plinth with burl panel within border of crossbanding, trunk with chamfered corners flanking the similarly inlaid arched door, the hood with plain columns flanking the arched door and supporting pierced scroll frieze below caddy top flanked by brass steeple finials, the dial signed on a boss in the arch Anth Marsh, London, silvered chapter ring enclosing seconds dial, date aperture in matted center, urn and bird spandrels, the movement with anchor escapement, rack striking the hour on bell, c. 1740 with alterations--100in. (254cm.) high
