Each finely guilloché with translucent blue enamel, the watch and match safe also enamelled with band of laurel garlands and paterae on white ground, the telescoping pencil within a similarly enamelled sleeve enhanced with white and green reeding, the unsigned gilt keyless lever watch movement of typical calibre, engine turned silvered dial signed Cartier et Fils Paris, Londres, arabic chapters, blued steel hands, the case numbered 1230, maker's mark illegible, the circular match safe, signed Cartier, Paris, the pencil, numbered 535, with makers' marks, C.S [?] in lozenge, and incuse M.O, c. 1910--48mm. diam of watch (3)
