A GEORGE IV IRISH FOUR-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE, Dublin, 1822, the coffee-pot 1823, maker's mark SB, comprising teapot, coffee-pot, two-handled sugar-bowl and cream-jug, each globular, on four lion's paw feet, the coffee-pot also on waisted base, the sides chased with broad scroll bordered frieze of flowering foliage on punched ground, twice centering shaped oval, scroll and rocaille enclosed, cartouche, one engraved with crest, one with monogram, with scalework panel to the handle join, applied floral collar or rim, part foliate scroll handle, the pots with molded floral band above the collar, foliate capped scroll handle, part decorated leaf capped spout, and partly domed and florally chased hinged cover topped by cast double flower form finial--11½in. (29.2cm.) high, 78.5oz.
