A SILVER COFFEE-POT, bearing marks for London, 1737, maker's mark of Thomas Farren, probably altered from a tankard and chased later, the handle socket and spout with William IV standard and duty mark only, tapering cylindrical, on flat-chased molded circular foot, the sides chased with flowers and scrolls, two sides centering asymetrical scroll enclosed cartouche, one engraved with lozenge-of-arms, with leaf-capped part fluted S-scroll spout and wood scroll handle, the hinged domed cover with conforming decoration above rocaille band and topped by fluted acorn finial--9¾in.
