TWO GEORGE II SILVER CASTORS, one London, 1752, maker's mark of Samuel Wood, the second 1759, each of typical form, with pierced domed covers, the first with baluster finial and engraved with coat-of-arms; the other with writhen finial--6½in. and 7¼in. (15.8cm. and 18.4cm.) high; together with a sauceboat--London, 1896, oval, on three foliate hoof feet, with wavy rim and foliate capped scroll handle--length over handle and spout 7in. (17.7cm.); and a shell-form dish--5½in. (13.9cm.) long, 24oz.
