A DANISH PAIR OF SILVER COMPOTES AND A SMALL COMPOTE, the pair maker's mark of Georg Jensen, also stamped Copenhagen 1919, no. 242; the other designed by Johan Rohde, executed by Georg Jensen Silversmithy, post 1945, each with hammer finish, the pair with circular bowl with flaring sides, on openwork stem on stepped circular foot, the stem composed of beaded cluster issuing three scrolls, enclosed by six curling scrolls within fronds, with bead on the base between--7¼in. (18.4cm.) diam.; the other with deeper bowl, on similar foot, the stem composed of four fronds applied with scroll and bead, wtih scrolls between--4¼in. (11.3cm.) diam., 33oz.
