A PAIR OF FIVE-LIGHT SILVER CANDELABRA, probably German for the American market, stamped STERLING under bases, each stem formed as Cupid, with bow in one hand, the other supporting socket above his head, on naturalistic ground, on raised shaped circular base, on two incurved, two outcurved, foliate scroll feet, the components elaborately decorated with rocaille and foliage, the central fixed socket issuing screw-in central knopped multi-scroll central light, rising to shaped circular wax-pan, campana-form socket and detachable conforming nozzle, with four multi-scroll branches with conforming lights--22in. (55.8cm.) high, 170oz.
