A GERMAN SILVER TEA-KETTLE, STAND AND LAMP, late 19th Century, the rectangular kettle with canted corners, the sides chased with pastoral playing putti within foliate scroll, floral festoon and shell surround, the corners, supports to stand, burner and raised hinged cover chased with floral festoons, scrolls and rocaille, the cover topped by foliate finial, the spout decorated, the overhead swing handle part decorated; the rounded rectangular chained stand with plain apron, the burner with strap handle terminating in grotesque mask--the tea-kettle on stand over handle 17in. (43.1cm.) high, gross weight 73.5oz.
