A CONTINENTAL SILVER COVERED SUGAR-BOWL, INSET WITH SIX TEASPOONS
probably Italian, 19th Century, maker's mark ML conjoined, the bell-shaped bowl on circular stand supported by three part openwork strap supports, headed by female mask, resting on claw footed trefoil base, engraved TM, the collar pierced for spoons with openwork foliate apron below, the partly domed detachable cover bordered by stiffleaf, with cast bird finial; five teaspoons with tapering handles, engraved TM; one coffin-ended monogrammed--8½in. (21.5cm.) high, 19.2oz.
