A SIX-PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE ON TWO-HANDLED TRAY, maker's mark of Dominick & Haff, circa 1920, comprising tea-kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, coffee-pot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl, cream-jug and waste-bowl, all but pots with gilt interior, each inverted pyriform, on raised circular foot, the body chased with tied trailing flowersprays, with applied gadrooned rims, the scroll handles with stylized shell join, the pots with wood scroll handle, with elaborate foliate applied partly fluted scroll spout, the molded low domed hinged cover with conforming chasing and topped by fluted baluster finial; the tea-kettle on circular conforming stand, with two foliate applied bifurcated scroll supports, with part wood overhead swing handle--tea-kettle on stand over handle 14½in. (36.8cm.) high; the ground of the oval tray engraved with flowering foliate oval band, the molded border with conforming chasing, applied gaderooned rim, and two tubular part foliate handles with bifurcated joins--length of tray over handles 30in.
