A THREE PIECE SILVER TEA-SERVICE WITH AN ASSOCIATED CREAM-JUG, each with maker's mark of Gorham, the tea-service 1869, no. 640; the cream-jug 1871, no. 1175, comprising teapot, two-handled sugar-bowl and two handled waste-bowl, each monogrammed, bombe urn-form, on spreading circular foot, the necks prick engraved with ovals, stylized leaves at the angles, with applied die-rolled collar, all enclosed by beaded bands, with reeded angular handle, the teapot with part decorated spout, the slightly raised hinged cover part engraved and topped by button finial; the conical cream-jug with die rolled borders, monogrammed, part engraved with scroll handle--the teapot 8½in. (21.5cm.) high, gross weight 56oz.
