PURE COIN, circa 1850, waste-bowl unmarked, comprising tea-kettle on stand, teapot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl, covered cream-jug and waste-bowl, each inverted pear-shaped, on open scroll foot with flowering foliate join, the mid section twice with shaped oval, rocaille and foliage enclosed, cartouche, one engraved with later intial and crest, all enclosed by flowering foliage, the neck with leafy arcades, the hinged raised cover, scalloped rimmmed, fluted and chased with similar leaves ending in punched ground, topped by cast floral finial, the covers with varying finials; the teapot and sugar-bowl with rusticated floral and foliate scroll handle, the tea-kettle and teapot with similarly decorated spout, the cream-jug with squat rusticated spout and hinged cover; the tea-kettle with conforming overhead swing handle, the cover topped by a Chinaman holding a falcon, the chained circular stand on four leaning, pig-tailed Chinamen on rocaille scroll feet, with openwork flowering foliate aprons between--tea-kettle on stand over handle 17in., gross weight 157.5oz.
