Of circular form with two detachable handles released by a hinged lever, cast and chased with interlaced acanthus scrolls and bellflowers, the reversable domed cover with reeded rim and removable cast pomegranate finial, both engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on body, both handles, cover and finial; struck with the charge and discharge of Jean-Baptiste Fouache and Dominique Compant--length over handles 12¾in.
