PARIS, 1780, MAKER'S MARK OF JACQUES-ANTOINE BONHOMME

Of circular form with moulded rim and two rustic loop handles, the low domed cover chased with a band of flutes with paterae and a vacant cartouche at intervals, the finial cast in the form of two love birds, marked on body, cover and finial; struck with the charge and discharge of Henri Clavel, also struck with provincial guarantee marks for 1819-1838--length over handles 7½in. (19cm.)
