Of plain cylindrical form with turned ebonized side handle, the low domed cover with sliding cap, the cylindrical stand with similiar handle, the rim and removable platform pierced with bands of stylized foliage, the removable plain cylindrical lamp with similiar handle and low domed cover, the interior with removable wick holder, fully marked; struck with the charge and discharge of Jean-Francoise Kalandrin, also struck with petite recense mark of 1797--overall height 6 3/8in. (16.8cm.)
