The rectangular top and flaps above a frieze drawer, on faceted legs with squared feet joined by shaped X-form stretchers - 27½in. (70cm.) high, 35½in. (90cm.) wide extended, 26in. (66cm.) deep
This table is based on a design in Thomas Chippendale's The Gentleman & Cabinet-Maker's Director, 3rd. ed., 1762, pl. LIII. A similar table illustrated R. Edwards, The Shorter Dictionary of English Furniture, 1964, p. 570, pl. 1.
