A REGENCY MAHOGANY SEWING TABLE
EARLY 19TH CENTURY
The rectangular top and rounded flaps with scrolling foliate border, centered by mother-of-pearl inlay, with a drawer fitted with various lidded compartments containing gilt and mother-of-pearl sewing implements, on open trestle supports with brass paw feet and casters, joined by a stretcher (lacking basket) - 28in. (71cm.) high, 31½in. (80cm.) with extension, 18¾in. (47cm.) deep
Chistie's is selling the following lots as agent for an organization which holds a State of New York Exempt Organization Certificate. Accordingly, no sales tax is due on the purchase price of these lots if they are picked up or delivered in the State of New York. However, a compensating use tax is due from the buyer if these lots are shipped to New Jersey or to any of the following states where Christie's maintains offices: California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Washington, D.C.
