Venice: Vincenzo Valgrisi, 1569. 12mo, 136 x 73 mm., contemporary blindstamped pigskin, each cover panelled with roll tooled borders surrounding central allegorical figure, upper cover stamped and dated ("L S" "1534"); lower margin of title cleaned (affecting 2 letters on date, supplied in mss.) some very minor marginal spotting or pale dampstaining. A scarce and little-known compendium of ailments and their herbal remedies, along with a digest of Mattioli's works on the distillation of plant essences. It was reprinted in 1571 at Lyons but does not appear in the Opera omnioa published in 1598.
