With rounded rectangular gilt-tooled black leather top within gadrooned banding above a central frieze drawer mounted with lappets and husks flanked by three short drawers mounted with lockplates cast as ribbon-entwined laurel, a plumed female satyr's mask respectively, each within beaded encadrement, the kneehole mounted with grotesques, the sides fitted with putti bearing the coat-of-arms of France, on hipped sabre legs headed by gadrooned foliage, the front legs ending in paw sabots, the rear in scrolls, inlaid throughout in première partie with scrolling foliage, bearing a paper label inscribed "Exposition de Trois Règnes Français, Louis XIV-XV-XVI, London 1933, no. 134 (chenue, Emballeur etc.) Nom: Balsan 2 Av du Lambert Titre: Un petit bureau Boulle"--28¼in.
