Painted in colours with trophies emblematic of music, love, war, pilgrimage and wine within ciselé gilt surrounds and borders of trailing berried branches, comprising:
A lozenge-shaped two-handled tray, 14¾in. (37.5cm.) wide
A hot-milk jug and cover with hinged silver-gilt mount
A sugar-basin and cover
A cup and saucer (4)

Charle Buteaux Aîné active at Sèvres from 1756 to 1782 and was particularly noted for his trophy painting.
