A SPINACH GREEN JADE VASE GROUP

Comprising two flattened baluster vases and covers, one larger, both positioned on elaborately pierced and carved rockwork tiers from which grow tree peony and lingzhi, the vases decorated in low relief with taotie masks composed of archaistic comma whorls, the reverse side of the carving incorporating a standing phoenix confronting the larger vase, the details represented by finely incised lines, the well-polished opaque stone of bright spinach-green tone with some small whitish inclusions--9 3/4in.
