A SPINACH GREEN JADE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
18TH/19TH CENTURY
Of archaistic ding form, the globular hexafoil body carved in low relief with six lotus panels, above three slender cylindrical legs incised with pendant lappets and capped with further lotus at their junction with the body, set with a pair of tall tapering flared handles at the sides, the domed cover similarly carved and with double-lotus finial, the dark green stone with an even polish and small black flecks throughout, finial probably a replacement, small rim chip restuck - 10 in. (25.4 cm.) high
