Cast and finely chased with leafy scrolls and trailing flowered vines, the signed circular white enamel dial with blue roman chapters, gilt fleur-de-lis half-hour marks and arabic minute numerals, gilt fleur-de- lis hands, within glazed moulded bezel, the substantial movement between shaped oblong plates with verge escapement, thread suspension to pendulum, striking the hour and half-hour by means of numbered countwheel, c. 1750--22½in.
