etching with drypoint and roulette, 1884, on vellum, Bourcard's fifth (final) state, Goodfriend's seventh (final) state, signed in ink and with the artist's red monogram stamp (L. 977), inscribed 'epreuve d'artiste', and with a pen and ink portrait sketch in the bottom right margin corner, with margins, pale mat staining, pin holes at the top and bottom margin edges, diagonal splits at the bottom margin corners, laid down on linen, otherwise in very good condition
