"At the age of nineteen, Irving Thalberg started his career with Carl Laemmle and soon took firm hold of Universal City. Nicknamed "The Boy Wonder", he joined Louis B. Mayer in 1934 and utilized his unique creative direction to catapult M.G.M. into the stratosphere.
