A LARGE PAIR OF TURQUOISE-GROUND DAYAZHAI-TYPE JARDINIERES
LATE 19TH CENTURY
Of deep rounded form, each painted with gnarled peach trees and prunus sweeping around the sides above lingzhi and narcissus below a pastel key-pattern band and stylized flower sprays at the rounded rim, all on a turquoise ground with a central iron-red and gilt Dayazhai oval cartouche, the interiors plain, some turquoise glaze crackle and minor firing defects - 21 1/2 in. (54.6 cm.) wide (2)
