A GEORGE II SILVER TEA KETTLE ON STAND AND LAMP, London, 1752, maker's mark of P. Archambo II & P. Meure, slightly compressed spherical on rim foot, one side engraved with initials C R below crown, the other with initials R S B beneath crest, with applied tongue and dart rim, with overhead swing part raffia covered handle, the detachable partly domed cover with same engraving and topped by ivory circular finial, the cicular stand with scalloped rim, on three leaf capped S scroll supports on shell feet, with baluster fixed lamp--tea kettle on stand over handle 14in. (35.5cm.), gross weight 47.5oz.
