AN EDWARD VII PAIR OF SILVER VASES AND A CONTINENTAL EXAMPLE, the pair Sheffield, 1905, maker's mark J.H.B over H.B., the Continental example struck with the Foreign import mark for London, 1895; the pair slightly tapering cylindrical with flaring lip, on raised circular base engraved with S scrolls, the lower part of the body chased with foliate scrolls below flowering foliate frieze, the shoulder chased with raised trelliswork band bordered by punched flowers--11in. (27.9cm.) high; the last in the Renaissance taste, cylindrical with flaring sides, on raised foot, the foot and body chased with grotesque bearded maks within foliate scrolls, flowers and fruit--8½in.
