A PAIR OF SILVER MOUNTED CLARET JUGS, probably French, unmarked, struck with English import marks for London, 1900, each with ovoid glass body cut with flutes and etched with foliage, the lower part of the mounts with shaped straps decorated with foliate sprigs above acanthus, on raised shaped circular base, with short stem applied four times with seamonster, the long fluted neck mount with similar foliage, with elaborate part foliate, part openwork, multi scroll handle, the partly fluted raised hinged cover covering spout and topped by acanthus bud finial--13in. (33cm.) high
