A SEVEN PIECE SILVER TEA AND COFFEE-SERVICE ON TWO-HANDLED TRAY, by Durgin, for Black, Starr & Frost, circa 1920, comprising tea-kettle, stand and lamp, teapot, coffee-pot, two-handled covered sugar-bowl, cream-jug, milk-jug and two-handled waste-bowl, each monogrammed, tapering rectangular with canted corners, on rim foot, with tubular harp-form handles, the pots with panelled spout, the hinged raised cover topped by covered urn finial, the tea-kettle bifurcated scroll supported to the canted rectangular stand, with fixed overhead handle--height of tea-kettle on stand over handle--11in. (27.9cm.); the tray of similar form, applied rim and with two oval cut-out handles--length over handles 26in. (66cm.), gross weight 210oz.
