A FOUR PIECE SILVER TEA SERVICE, each with maker's mark of W.W. Hannah (Hudson, New York, until 1848), and John L. Westervelt (Newburgh, New York, circa 1845), comprising teapot, two handled covered sugar bowl, cream jug and waste bowl, each pear-shaped, on raised circular foot, two sides with vacant shaped oval cartouche (the cream jug with one cartouche), within chased flowering foliate and scroll surround, with scroll handles, with die rolled rims, the teapot (hinged) and the sugar-bowl (with dent to lower part of the body), with partly domed cover topped by cast flower form finial--the teapot 11½in. (29.2cm.) high, gross weight 82.5oz.
