Elizabeth Gage studied design in England at The Chelsea School of Art and the Sir John Cass College. In 1966, Ms. Gage went to Greece to apprentice with Cretan goldsmiths. After returning to London, she began designing on commission. She created a collection for Cartier and in 1972, was awarded the prestigious International Diamond Award by DeBeers. Her creations are a unique combination of the old and the new. She incorporates ancient techniques and styles into contemporary designs that are distinctly Elizabeth Gage.
