"Per Baltimore" endorsement, clearly docketed as originating in San Francisco on January 15, 1852, Post began operating his mail forwarding service to and from Hawaii in 1852, this must be one of the earliest letters handled in this capacity and is perhaps the earliest extant, light gold at bottom, very fine, ex Krug, H.J. Baker, with P.F. certificate.......................................
