In two sections: the upper part with upswept pediment surmounted by brass ball-and-steeple finials and edged with ring-molding over a pair of gothic-glazed cupboard doors fitted with verre eglomisé panels painted with gilt baskets of fruit within scrolling cartouches and enclosing shelves above three short cockbeaded drawers; the lower part with applied mid-molding over a cylinder lid edged with ring-molding and enclosing a retractable leather-lined writing surface rising on ratchets before banks of small drawers centering valanced pigeonholes all over a pair of short cockbeaded drawers above two graduated long drawers and a ring-molded shaped apron, on ring-turned tapering legs (one verre eglomisé panel restored)--94 1/4in. high, 40 1/4in. wide, 22 1/2in. deep
