THE AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY ARCHIVES THE THIRD AND FINAL OFFERING This will be the third and last in Christie's series of ABN archive auctions. Especially noteworthy here are the hitherto unknown 5, 10 and 20 Dollar Interest-Bearing Notes of 1862. As with both previous sales, a great many very rare and important notes and related materials are being offered. It is not expected that any group of this magnitude will ever again be available through public sale. GENERAL CONDITION OF LOTS Unlike the previous two ABN sales, descriptions of condition are not given with each individual lot listing. Most notes in each lot are clean and undamaged. However, a small percentage will exhibit various impairments including tears, creases, staining, aging, close trimming, missing pieces, staple holes or other imperfections. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that prospective buyers review any lot in which they may be interested.
