AN ELEGANT BELLE EPOQUE DIAMOND SINGLE STONE RING

Lucienne Kylberg was born in Algiers in 1917, the daughter of a Swedish father and a French mother. During the 1930s and early 1940s, under the stage name of Lubov Rostova, she gained prominence with the "Ballets Russes" companies. Using her given name, she also appeared in George Balanchine's short-lived "Ballets 1933", earning praise for her creation of the leading role in the Preghiera episode of Balanchine's "Mozartiana".
Miss Kylberg was married to the choreographer David Lichine and then, in 1949, to Count Christian de Dampierre, with whom she had a son, the Marquise de Dampierre, who resides in Paris.
She died this past January at her home in Oyster Bay, Long Island.
