A LOUIS-PHILIPPE GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK
CIRCA 1840
The white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, inscribed 'Ridel à Paris', housed within a patinated square case with applied roundels inset with masks, surmounted by a seated cherub with a fluted stepped pedestal, the clock raised upon four sphinxes on a patinated bronze rectangular pedestal inset with a Bacchanalian ormolu frieze on a rouge marble base and toupie feet--15½in. (38cm.) high; together with a pair of Empire style patinated and gilt-bronze ewers, each of ovoid form with bronze scrolled handles terminating in grotesque mask, on square marble base--14½ (37 cm.) high (3)
