Lot Essay

In Silver, March-April 1983, in the article Danish Silver Mark, by Ole Lachmann, he discusses the organization called Dansk Arbejde (Danish Made), formed in 1908. It was founded to promote Danish silver, and used a special mark - D pick axe within a shield. This mark is found on much Danish silver made from 1908 to circa 1940. Of the companies mentioned in the article, only the manufactures Cohr and Grann & Laglye used this mark.
