A STAFFORDSHIRE SALTGLAZE RETICULATED SCALLOPED DISH
Circa 1760
The center moulded with L-shaped steps within windowpane panels and rocaille cartouches enclosing alternate star and domino trellis, the sloping border with similar cartouches enclosing pierced trellis 9¾in. (25cm.) diam.; together with a saltglaze plate moulded with a foliate scroll rosette reserved against a basketweave ground, the well with fruit, the border with basketweave, 8¼in. (21cm.) diam. (2)
