A GERMAN SILVER PLATED LARGE ORNAMENTAL TUREEN, maker's mark of WMF, the U form body on spreading rectangular base, with two part openwork angular handles terminating in openwork graduating stave joins, the front applied with Minerva, the reverse applied with Mars, both in Classical garb, the shoulder chased with arabesque band, the spreading rectangular cover topped by conforming openwork handle, with cut out for ladle--20½in. (52cm.) high
