THREE VICTORIAN SILVER MUGS AND AN INDIAN COLONIAL EXAMPLE, with maker's marks of, comprising: the three London, the first 1839, RE, the second 1874, John James Whiting, both campana shaped, on raised foot, with acanthus scroll handle, the first chased with flowering foliage, the second fluted, the third--1853, James & Nathaniel Creswick, baluster, raised on four scroll feet with scroll and rocaille apron, the panelled body applied with peasant figures at intervals on a chased landscape; the fourth--Calcutta, 1850-1855, Lattey Brothers & Co. , baluster, on scalloped rocaille foot, chased with flowering foliage enclosing an initialled cartouche--average height 3¾in.
